Pictured, the complete hair embroidery work featuring the "Picture of
Emperor Kangxi's Visit to South China" which took Suzhou Embroidery
Research Institute over two years to finish. It is 6.4 meters long and
0.65 meter wide and consists of four hair embroidery masterpieces. This
embroidery work will be collected by China Art Institute (CAI). It was
learned that the embroidery originated from a painting with the same name
created by Wang Yun, a painter in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911AD). The
work depicts the grand view of Emperor Kangxi's visit to South China. It
is made of specially processed long hairs as threads and is regarded as a
masterpiece of Suzhou's embroidery.
